The Bottom Line Gateway's slogan should be: Contempt for the customer!
Gateway is the new Packard Bell. Actually, it's not fair to pick on Packard Bell like that. Gateway is the worst PC company that I have ever worked with, and I am a grizzled IT pro. I have seen a line of PCs that don't even have hard drive lights - Hateway dropped the LEDs just to save money. I think the machines are not made well, and their tech support is a total joke. We have seen PCs arrrive DOA, and tech support says that they are out of warranty! They also request the serial number and customer ID number -which we had already e-mailed them when we made the service request. Getting something fixed from them is a total nightmare.  |
