Great review...even though it was only a year-and-a-half ago that you wrote it, it seems the ceiling for video cards has gone through the roof! It almost makes me despair of ever writing a hardware review.
But your advice is solid, and stands the test of time. It's helpful to anyone, even when we reach the point of insanity (googlebit buses and zillion-MB of RAM)...
