Another very helpful review!
I worked as a service coordinator/assistant manager for a copier-fax company for 5 years. I totally understand the importance of excellent customer support and employee integrity. Many service calls were avoided by gingerly walking the customer through challenges. I still remember those .... "needed to be plugged in" and other simplistic calls. However, it was ever so important to be tactful and polite! Technology has changed in the seven years I haven't been in the business. One attribute remains, quality service is important! The skills I acquired are life long important ones.
Thank you for sharing with regard to your experience! It means so much to hear from an 'insider' so to speak!

My Gateway Experience (Reply to this comment)

I was using Gateway's internet site to put together my computer. My friend Noah and I discussed my budget and what options I should have. I put together a package on the Gateway site.
(Gateway has basic options and then using pulldown menus you can customize)
When I got something that Noah liked and I could afford, I called Gateway and talked to a gentleman named Solomon. Am I glad I did. He had more advice. I took his ideas back to Noah. There was even some items that had not hit the website yet that I could have. Noah liked the ideas. I loved my computer. It is still going strong years later at my sister's house.
The service I received from Gateway (even after I ceased to be under warranty) made me a believer. I've never had the phone answered by anyone who was untrained, and never had anyone who didn't treat me well and call me back when they said they would.
