Pros:Cheap, resistant, gets the job done
Cons:Only 2 megabytes of memory, screen quality
The Bottom Line: Check this out: the memory is low if you think you'll use it in activities more like a PC, than if you're going to use it like an agenda.
I bought this Palm just a month ago, this is my first Palm so I decided to buy the cheapest one just to know if it could do something for my messy life. It really works, as long as you use it, you start finding more and more applications that help you in your life, but there's where I found the first problem of this Palm: The memory.
If you use it just to keep your telephone numbers, schedule, notes and stuff like that, 2 megabytes of memory is much more than what you need; but there are other applications which may be very helpful, such as carrying Office documents, Web channels, etc. Every one of this applications consumes a lot of memory, and also, every document or channel of this applications consume much more memory than the original program.
I read a members opinion talking about the Palm IIIxe, he said that twice he broke the screen of his Palm in a very easy way. The second day I had my Palm m100, I let it fall down (accidentally, of course), and I remembered that member's opinion... I got really scared. When I picked it up, the screen was in perfect conditions. The screen is very well protected with those rubber bands in the sides, and also, because of the shape of this little machine; so, if you think that it's probable that you let your palm fall down the floor, buy this one, it will survive.
The last thing is the size of the screen, it's good because of the size of the Palm (it's smaller than other Palms), but it's not so good when you use it to read documents and every other activity which requires that you watch the screen for a long time.
It doesn't have a lot of software, but that's not bad, anyway, you can download a lot of software from Palm.com.
