Have you looked at some of the schedules for some of the tours that explore Europe? Yep, they will do 15 countries in 14 days! It makes you wonder if they even get off of the bus or just watch Europe go by.

I only wish I had read this before my husband and I did our trip to Europe in '99. The one thing that worked for us that you recommended not doing was driving. But then again, my husband is from Europe and can drive crazy with the best of them!

Excellent advice all around! Taking the time to understand and enjoy what you see is crucial to a good travel experience. Beyond that, use common sense and be a good guest. With such a combination, you almost can't miss.

Only after I started writing on Epinions did I start keeping a journal -- I've found it very helpful. Of course, Epinions itself has beome my online travel journal!

Keeping a journal is one that I have not done yet. I have been looking at my travel photos recently and I could not remember half of the places.

. . . I will undoubtedly employ some of your tips when we hit Scandinavia this summer.
Nicely done.
