Nice list... (Reply to this comment)

... though I don't really rate your number one - I agree on most of your other choices though!
It's nice to see a list not dominated by newer films.. like (ahem) mine... :-(O
Thanks,
Dave

I am so embarrassed to say I have never seen Dr. Zhivago! Next time I get a movie from the video store I need to make sure I get that one too.

English Patient" was better than "End of the Affair." Very touching love story.
I also loved Clint Eastwood's adaptation of what was actually a horrible book, but "Bridges of Madison County" was a very poignant and even tragic love story.
I would also argue that "Dr. Zhivago" is a love story as well.
I agree with "Breakfast at Tiffany's" though, that IS great!
Nice review - take care and keep writing!

The End of the Affair, with Ralph Finnes. (sp?) That would definitely make my top ten - you should see if it you haven't already!
