For a mid to full-size convertible, the Sebring is the best buy unless you can afford a luxury model like an M3.
I traded in my Eclipse Spyder after about 4 years because I could just feel a major repair coming (those who are very in-tune with their cars know what I'm talking about).
Anyways, I got a '04 Sebring convertible and have to say I'm pretty happy with the purchase. Whether or not that changes in 12-24 months, time will tell. I've seen negative reports on the reliability of this car, but I look at those things with a skeptical eye, and you should too.
The fact of the matter is, every situation is different.
The power compared to my Spyder is much lower, but I consciously chose a lower horsepower car this time around in order to gain gas mileage. If you're looking for a racecar, this one isn't for you, but if you're looking for a comfortable, sporty, affordable convertible, I'd say look at the Sebring.
