by lavoisier
What's your knowledge of LG CD Rewriters and how well do they perform and do they offer a decent software bundle?

I know about TDK's 20x... drive but there is a huge gap between that price and the 16x.. and they aren't on the store shelves as they should be yet.

After reading your review, I reached over to my printer to turn it on. I will be purchasing a CDR/RW for my department soon, and I wanted a hard copy of this useful information.
Thanks for a great editorial.

Where on earth did you find that "Sony uses Taiju Yeden manufactured CDs "? I work for tech support and I didn't even know that and I had to support their burners for a long time.

HP, Creative, Iomega, and others don't make their own drives. Iomega's 12x10x40 drive is actually a Plextor with a different ID.... the id states Iomega but can be hacked back into a Plextor ID. HP gets their drives from a variety of manufacturers, I believe Plextor and Sanyo are the most common. It interesting what exactly you're buying from some of the Brand names out there. TDK especially the 20x12x40 are pretty awesome. The TDK 20x12x40 has the best "BurnProof" technology as of now if you're willing to pay the cash for it!
