Most of the time the phone connections were unusable. We seldom got a connection that was even intelligible. The price was more than three times higher than their salesperson had estimated in his sales pitch (almost $400 per month rather than about $120). We found out that a call from one of these phone to another of these phones, just three blocks away, was charged as long distance. When we went back after receiving the first bill the salesperson we had talked to no longer worked there and the rest of the sales people only wanted to write orders not talk to anyone already signed up. So we called the company's service number. They said all the prices were correct and there was nothing to talk about. We parked the phone, didn't use them, and refused to pay them as the prices were obviously in error. Imagine long distance charges for just three city blocks. Well if you don't want to imagine it you could sign up with them and you could see it on your cellular phone bill too. They canceled service. If only we had known what it was like to do business with them beforehand. Well now they are trying to charge us about $2200 for that experience of using their phones for less than two months. If this scares you, good. Beware of them! We have contracted with a different cell phone company (connections with the new company are nearly perfect most of the time) and the prices are in the estimated price range, also about $120 a month. So it is Cellular One that was the problem, not us.
