The Short:
* They are helpful people and the prices are good.
* Don't buy anything that is not in stock.
* They are dishonest about what is in stock, and when things are expected.
* They will tell you almost anything to keep you from canceling your order.
Good:
I talked with someone on the phone to ask if a part they carried would work on my horn. They were helpful and found the right part for me to order. This was one of many things in my order, and they said that the order may ship as two boxes (one now, one later), due to one item being backordered.
Bad:
Then the order never came. After two weeks of not playing (I've got a day job), I got irritated and decided to find out what happened.
It turned out that they were waiting for the backordered product and holding up the parts that were in stock. The due date for one of the parts had changed, and they didn't inform me. They kept the slipping due date from me, as informing me about the delays would have resulted in a canceled order.
Ugly:
When I called about this, I was told that they would be getting the part really soon and next-day air everything to me so that I could do this gig. I contacted them again to confirm our conversation. I was then told that what they weren't going to do what they had said they were going to do. I'm sure a third call would give me a third story.
The Pattern:
I wanted to buy a product and asked to be notified when it came in, using the "notify me!" under the due date (that is STILL listed as Nov 15th). Immediately after I signed up I received an email saying that the item was due on Nov 29th. It also pushed me to get my order in as that order may be pre-sold when it comes in.
What WWBW have to say:
"Manufacturers often have delays and often the dealers are not notified about the delays."
What WWBW leaves out:
...and our company manipulates our published/emailed expected due dates to get and keep orders. People who haven't ordered are given one set of information to scare them into pre-ordering, and people who have ordered are kept in the dark so they will not cancel.
