RUTH'S CHRIS STEAK HOUSE, Great Steak and Fine Service
by popsrocks | Nov 05 '04
Pros: The tastiest of steak, cooked to perfection
Cons: The rest was mediocre with shining moments and a walk into the pits.

Seems to me that "mom" taught him good taste.

I've heard varying things about Ruths Chris (Reply to this comment)

I was once on a restaurant review web site...a few years ago...I remember reading that not all Ruth's Chris steakhouses buy their beef from the same place....so the result is that at some locations you can have a better tasting steak than at others.

The best steak I've ever had was at the Palm restaurant in NYC a few years ago. While I was in the Miami Beach area in May, my wife and I ate at the Palm in South Beach area for my 50th bday. The steak was not nearly as good as the one I had in NYC. I happened to entered a contest the restaurant had and won a $250 certificate for dinner for four. I will be using that at the Palm restaurant here in Orlando in a few weeks. It will be interesting to see if the steak here is any better than what I had in the South Beach location.

Have you been to other Ruth's Chris locations?

I've heard Ruth's Chris (what an ODD NAME) Steak House mentioned on radio as well. It is good to know what I'm missing here in the Midwest. A talk show host also kept mentioning a chicken place in Kansas City, I believe, can't recall the name. Stroud's? It was good, but not great.

I have eaten at the Steak House in Baltimore, it was for my dads retirement dinner from Verizon. So as you can imagine we got the most expensive steaks on the menu.($35?) Anyway they were great atleast mine was anyway, probably the best I've ever had. Enjoyed the review, keep it up.

Unacceptable! That is just plain bad management. We have Ruth Chris in Chicago, and I have never been, preferring Morton's for Steaks here. I loved hearing about your celebration, Phil. My inquiring mind is wondering what the good news is about?
