Quality of Tech Support:
Pros:Solid Package all around, best techical support around, solid computer.
Cons:A little pricey, but its worth it.
The Bottom Line: Solid package containing everything for a techie to someone new at computers for a decent price.
Gateway runs their own stores, so being in need of a personal computer, without budget being a big problem right now, I went to Gateway. After trying out the computer for a little while, a saleman came over. I discussed the product with him, priced it out with upgrades (DVD, CD-RW, 128 MB RAM, 21" Monitor). It got the price up there, but as I said before, it wasn't a big deal at the time. He was very helpful, and I ended up getting it.
It ran like a charm, easy to set up, but even if you have difficulty, it comes with a helpful CD-ROM to inform you how to set it up. Nice.
This is the only desktop computer I have purchased that came with a nice set of speakers, Boston Acoustics is a very nice brand. A 3-speaker set with subwoofer was of great quality.
Overal, the system ran very smooth. Been a owner for quite some time now and no problems at all. There was only one time we called Tech Support, and that was when the mouse fell from the desk, and somebody stepped on it. They replaced it within a week. I thought that was pretty cool =).
Not a single problem with any drives, a solid buy if you got the money.
