marti310's Full Review: Philips DSX 5500C Satellite TV receiver
After looking over the cable options where we live (they offered a whole 30 some channels) my husband and I decided to get satellite TV. DirectTV was one of the providers offered in our area and they seemed to have the best options. We signed up and scheduled our installation online, both of which were very easy to do. Our deal included two receivers (we could have gotten up to three) and the ones we got were the Philips DSX 5500C. (In otherwords, the receivers and installation of the dish were free with a one year contract with DirectTV). The receiver and the remote are very easy to use. The remote can be used universally and is easily programmed by following the instructions booklet. The receiver is slim and fits nicely into our already full entertainment center.
