I was on my way to reach an ultimate destination of Stockton. California. Since I am from Vancouver, Canada, it took me a good 14 hours until I finally reached Eureka California. I figured since I was on the coast of California, there would be some very nice places to stay. But to my surprise, there was nothing available and affordable along the coast line.

I thought to myself, this has to be the worst place to stay. Then the "bad part" of the town seems to surprisingly stops and the nice, new part of town begins. I drove until I arrived at the Best Western. I was very impressed by the overall look of the buildings compared to the other places which I had seen at the other part of town.


Price

I went in thinking that it was going to cost me quite a rate to get a nights stay there, but to my surprise, it was pretty reasonable at $66 US. Which for us Canadians, is about $100. Also, the movies in the hotel were about $9 US
which is a little high, but it a hotel, what do you expect?


Cleanliness

Before I even set foot in my room, I could tell that the hotel was well taken care of. When I got inside the hotel everything was very nice. It was very well kept.


Location

Compared to what I had seen in the town before, this place was a palace. In Eureka, it was located right across the street from a shopping mall, as well as a local grocery store. It also has a restaurant right inside the hotel.


Restaurant

The restaurant inside the hotel was very nice, and had extremely good food. Although for the three of us to eat it was $40 US. Which is about $60 CDN. A little high. But they're were other places close by where you could eat.


Water Conservation

I thought it was kind of neat that they would be involved with a water conservation program. In which you could choose whether or not you wanted to take part, by getting your sheets washed less often.

Size

This hotel is fine for the one night stay that I stayed there. However, judging by the size of my hotel, it would be a little small to be staying there for long periods of time.


All in all, I would highly recommend staying at Best Western for a few nights, but not for long term stays.
