Pros: Handles well, great fuel economy, stylish design, roomy trunk, organized storage, comfy sport seats
Cons: Small interior, little headroom for anyone 5'5 & up, cheap looking air conditioning knobs
The Bottom Line: High quality for the price, fuel economy and it's not a sedan! Stylish inside & out. Easy to maneuver extension of yourself. Feel like a jet plane, drive a Celica!

| futurej's Full Review: 2004 Toyota Celica GT |
I bought this car a few months ago and am very pleased with it so far. I've already put over 7500 miles on it and have enjoyed every minute of it. This car hugs the road & handles very well. It is small and reacts quickly, I feel safe driving in LA traffic. The interior is also very small, I like this because it feels more cozy, almost like body armor. I am able to fit my husband, 7 year old & 2 year old in this car fine, but both of my girls complain that they cannot see out of the backseat windows. Visibility is an issue w/ this car. Checking over my shoulder to change lanes is impaired by the small backseat windows and spoiler across the back. Definitely worth checking out during the test drive.
Air conditioner & heater work great, but I wish Toyota would look into upgrading the look of the controls. The big knobs have been around since the early 80's. Other than that, I feel the design of the car inside & out is futuristic & sleek. My car was made 100% in Japan and there is not a seam out of alignment. Every corner matches up perfectly.
I've had no problems at all, so far. I was annoyed by the daylight running lights at first when I would be warming my car up at night, but found if you have the hand break on, your lights will remain off. Everything is automatic, I never have to turn my overdrive on, it is on automatically. Lights are always on... keyless entry... very little thinking involved w/ this car. Just drive! An easy-going car is very nice when you have a toddler to deal with.
Another thing to watch out for is that the back bumper is quite large & pristine. Therefore, dents & scratches show up easily. You just have to be careful, most cars are like that today anyway. Also, car is low and opening your car door next to high curbs & overshooting the parking marker can result in scrapage (Nothing visible, so far). I still prefer a smaller car for maneuverability and environmental conservation. I highly recommend this car.
