| mgj71's Full Review: 2003 Chevrolet Silverado 1500 Ext Cab |
I really liked my first and second chevy trucks. They are spacious extended cab 5.3L powerful engine, with the LS package. It is a sweet ride. I track mileage 16-18 mpg with city and highway mixed.
The problem one needs to watch, and why I picked up the extended warranty (which is a loser in the old days), is that the transmission slips sometimes. In my 99' it started before 25K miles, and it is much better in this truck. Occasionally there is a slip. Im not hard on it, and not a lead foot, but it slips at stop to forward occasions.
The truck is more spacious, at least feeling, than the Fords, dodges, and all the Japanese trucks, but inside the cab, the seat needs to be able to be folded forward. There is a loss of space under the seat too!
