I bought a HP 2175 All-in-one the summer of 2003 to prepare for college in the upcoming fall. When I got to my dorm room and had everything situated; I noticed that my printer was in prime shape. I knew this printer was right for me (to conserve space) before I even printed or scanned one item.
This product is great for college students. It can function tasks students use a lot in college, copiers and scanners. Its easy to use copier with clear instructions on the screen. The scanner comes in handy just as much. College kids love to email embarrassing pictures of their buddies around campus. Scanning on the HP 2175 makes this process super fast and easy.
My only negative experience with the machine has been its use of ink cartridges. I am not a very printer savvy person, are rarely make copies (I use mine more for scanning); yet, I discovered that black ink drains rather quickly. However, the color cartridge tends to outlast more so then other printers I have used before.
In the long run, the product has served me well. I have yet to discover the methods for uploading from a digital camera memory card. (I do not take many digital photos for print.) I recommend to anyone, particularly the ones more likely to scan a lot.
