Hey Kermie! (Reply to this comment)

(Can I call you Kermie!?!??!?)
I NEVER expected to see a Muppets film on one of these lists...
You have shown yourself here to be as unconventional (and brilliant) as ever. And quite, quite mad.

You always have the best lists - so eclectic, and often with a different take on the same movies I've seen and enjoyed for other reasons. Thanks for another good one.
I would have to have Shrek on my list of favorite romantic movies... maybe I'll have to write one up myself sometime.
By the way, was anyone besides me astonished that the marriage scene in Shrek was NOT a spoof of the Princess Bride marriage scene???

My husband and I went to the wedding of a friend this past weekend, and much to everyone's surprise, before the beginning processional, a video appeared up on the screens at the front of the church. There it was, the clip from The Princess Bride, where the priest was telling of "Mawidge" and describing "Wuv, twue wuv...". Needless to say, the crowd was in stitches!
Not a bad list you have there, not bad.

Excellent choices. (Reply to this comment)

Princess Bride is one of my favorites too...even though it is very silly. I now say "As you wish" when asked to do something. People that don't know this movie give me weird stares.
:-)
I like your choices.
