Multiple Purposes for this Avery Label

I use a variety of office products at work, and Avery labels are always at hand. My latest project has me using Avery Multi-Use Labels -- S816.
Description
These labels come packaged in a clear plastic blistercard that can reseal once opened. There are 1,000 smooth white labels in each package. The labels are affixed to sheets that measure 4" x 5 1/4". Each sheet contains 35 labels, and each label measures 1/2" x 1". These labels are removable, too, so once applied, the label can be peeled off. In case you are wondering, the labels are matte white -- not glossy.
My Experience
Avery Multi-Use Labels are versatile. These labels are small and easily stick to smooth surfaces such as paper and plastic. A nice feature is that these labels are simple to remove. Just insert a fingernail beneath the label to lift it. The labels peel off without harming the surface where they were attached. The downside is that once the labels are removed, they do not like to re-stick. I have not been able to reuse a label once it has been removed from a surface. The label loses its ability to adhere.
Part of my job involves sending sample product to potential customers. Currently, I am writing product numbers on these labels and attaching the labels to the back of the product. Not every customer wants the same items, and some customers have their own product numbers that I have to use. These labels are perfect for this job. I can easily write the numbers on the labels and stick the labels to the back of the product. When the samples are returned, the labels are easy to peel off.
I have used regular ballpoint ink and permanent marker ink on these labels. A typewriter also works well.
Purchasing
Our office purchased these labels from Staples for $4.69 for each package of 1,000 labels.
Summary
Since I often do projects where I need to write custom information on labels, and later remove the labels, these Avery Multi-Use Labels are perfect for my needs. If you have a project that requires removable labels, then I suggest you give these a try!
