I am always looking for something different to clean my toilet. It is my least favorite job.

What I look for in a Toilet Bowl Cleaner:

I want something that is strong in scent to eliminate odors. I want a cleaner to smell great, so that my bathroom smells clean. I want my toilet cleaner to be thick enough to stick to the bowl, to ensure each and every inch of my bowl gets a bit of product. Lastly, I want to know that the product has killed the many germs that can be found in a bathroom.

How did Scrubbing Bubbles Gel Perform?

First, I opened up this product. It had a flip top lid in which I found to be very "cheap." The actual product ran, and I found it difficult to use. I also had to wipe the cap, as the product ran down the bottle.

The bottles directions warns that there is a Skin and Eye Irritant. I did not want to this product to touch my skin. It was a close call with the way the product ran down the bottle. I think that a different bottle and cap design is in order.

Of course you should ALWAYS keep this product and any other type of cleaning product away from children. I can imagine that there are some who do NOT. The clear bottle promotes the look of a wonderful scented, and beautiful looking orange gel. It almost looks like a gelatin dessert. With the flip top lid that is NOT child proof. I feel that this product is a disaster waiting to happen. This product smells good enough to eat.

The fragrance is a citrus orange type of scent, that filled my bathroom with a beautiful scent. I really loved the smell.

Did it clean the toilet?

Yes, it did the job alright(I guess). I did not like that this product was not thick, and did not cling to the bowl. Overall, the bathroom smelled clean, and scrubbing was to a minimum. I felt that this product was a bit weak.

Directions:

It is a basic standard. You run the product around the rim of the bowl. You scrub and then flush.

This product claims, "That it will leave a fresh pleasant scent, will stay on tough stains longer, because of the cling action." I was not impressed with the "Cling," action. The scent was wonderful and made my bathroom smell clean! My question was:

Did the Scrubbing Bubbles Gel Disinfect and Sanitize?

Honestly? I have no idea! Normally products that I use will state what germs it will eliminate. This product does not state anything of the sort on the bottle. The only thing on the bottle I saw was a statement taken word for word:

"Simply brush and flush the dirt away for a sparkling clean toilet."

I don't want to guess. I want to know whether or not my bathroom is really clean. Strep and all sorts of other bacteria, fungus, and germs are going around. I have children, and want to know that my bathroom really is clean. I do not feel confident with this product.

Ingredient?

I am not sure. I could not find any type of ingredients listed on the bottle except for citrus acid, and that it is a "surfactant."

Overall

This product was wimpy, from the package claims, all the way to the flimsy flip top lid. I was not satisfied.


Where to Purchase and Pricing

I found my 22 fl. oz bottle at Walmart for under two dollars. I have also seen this product at other grocery stores for around the same price.
