>Catch 22 price matching policy not valid on products ordered online and picked up in the store If you find a cheaper price from another store after receiving the product.
>Read the policies carefully and know what you are getting into.
>There is no price matching when you buy through best buy.com even if you chose in store pick up so donât chose to do this with products that would carry a restocking fee. If they have the 30 day satisfaction guarantee you can simply buy the other item elsewhere and return the one you bought at best buy.com to the store this is actually easier than trying to get them to match a price.
>For the most part best buy.com is great if you live far away from the store and you need products shipped to you if they have free shipping available at the time. However recently I had decided to purchase a Sony pc monitor that best buy had on sale for about 35.00 off. I had ordered it on line and opted to pick it up in the store to save shipping costs and I did not want to wait 10-20 days for the monitor. All went well and then today I found the same monitor at Comp USA for about 65.00 less than what I had paid. I grabbed my receipt and headed to best buy where I picked up my purchase only to be told that products purchased on the web site are a separate entity from those same products that you purchase at the retail store. This was a bit confusing how could this be if I could pick up the same product at the store but it really is not the same product or store?? Did that make sense to you? Not⦠I called the best buy.com people only to speak with a rep who sounded just like the flute girl on American pie and she informed me of the same policy and even pointed out that it is in the fine print. Well the bottom line here is this you either learn and move on or gloat over it forever. I have chosen to move on however with my new knowledge I will only use the best buy web site for ordering DVD recordable media and such and possibly things that are so incredibly cheap on clearance for delivery only. If best buy.com wishes to become my paper clip and staple ordering source then who am I to argue with them. As far as computer oriented electronics and pcs I have learned that Comp USA is far superior to best buy and less costly. They also carry lots more options and different versions of products and they just seem more knowledgeable the last time I spoke to a best buy rep the only thing he seemed to care about or have knowledge in was the extended pc warrantee that best buy offers. The bottom line is that I just wanted to make sure that people out there were informed shoppers and you know what you are getting into.
> The reason I have chosen to alert people to avoid this site is simply because there are better dealers out there to work with and simply to me best buy.com will just be a last resort if I absolutely can't get it somewhere else.
