I was recently forced to change my opinion of auction watch. I used to highly recommend it for people who were just starting to list items on sites like ebay and also for more experienced sellers. Now I can only only cautiously recommend it for experienced sellers.
I originally used this site to host my pictures for auctions on ebay but quickly learned how much more it had to offer. Auctionwatch offers a search engine that searches several different sites all at the same time, chat boards for most of the major auction sites and other topics, photo hosting, and the ability to write your auctions up with templates they provide and schedule them to launch at better times and several more helpful services.
The chat boards are very informative. Anytime I was having a problem identifying an object, dealing with another person who I had either bought or sold from or any problem connected with the internet I could post my problem on there and get several very informative answers almost immediately.
The photo hosting and launching were extremely helpful but I find myself no longer willing to use them. When I started using them I assumed that some day I would have to pay a small fee to use them. Unfortunately when auctionwatch decided to start charging fees, they wanted more than I was willing to pay. They have two different fee plans. I have no problem with paying a fee but personally feel the final value percentage fee to be unneeded. Especially when you consider the high number of nonpaying bidders that you seem to get frequently. Having to ask for a refund from auctionwatch when this happens makes this site less appealing to me.
