| darrengf's Full Review: Siemens Nixdorf C35 |
When i first saw the Siemens C35i I thought the phone looked great, but what I didn't realize is the amount of features you get with it for such a budget phone. Predictive text with Picture messaging, animation, vibra battery, Animation, Calling faces, WAP, games, easy access to phone book, Phone memory and more I could mention.
You get more features with this phone than the Nokia 3210 and possible more than the 3310.
The call clarity is great, even if you have a poor reception and if you loose the reception it tells you what its doing and just doesn't go blank like some mobiles. The phone is easy to use and possible easier than the Nokia menu system.
It has a built in Modem which I have used, although it does connect at 9600bps, but hey what do you expect! great for emails though. You can download tunes and logos to the Phone via a Data cable and there all free!! you do have to buy a Cable which are around £10
As you can see i rate the phone very much but it does have a few little gripes (err) I can find.
The battery life says 180 hours well the best i can get it is 72 hours (3 Days) all though turning of the Lights increased it to 120 Hours (5 Days) good if your not in Dark places!! The Rubbery keyboard is a little unpredictable sometimes and the screen is a little on the soft side so can be easily scratched also would have liked the screen to be a little bigger, but i'm just getting a little picky now.
Other wise the phone is fantastic and a stunner. I have had it now for 10 Months and Its still there with the best of them. I do own a Nokia 5110+3210, Motorola Timeport and a Ericsson A1018s so I'm not biased but the Siemens wins hands down and "Congrats" to them.
One thing I wish, is that all mobile phone Manufactures give real battery life status and not what you possible may get, because I would like to know how they get it!
I got the phone contract which then and now is still Free. You can pick it up on Pay as you go scheme for as little as £69.99 in the UK and is available on all our Networks.
