For the most part I have had very good luck with Overstock.Com.
I have had one bad experience that has been very frustrating. Quite a few months ago I bought "South Beach Diet Cookbook" before it was released. So, this book was not actually overstock from other suppliers. The book, it turns out, appears to be defective. The pages have not stuck on the binding and have been coming out of the book. I called OS.Com and they said since it was past the 30 days of the purchase they couldn't help me. I called the publisher and they said that OS.com should replace the book since it was defective. I spoke to a manager at Rodale Press and they told me that Overstock would get a credit from publisher and they were obligated to replace the book. I called back Overstock and they have refused. I have spoken to several managers and all have refused to replace the book. So, that's something to be careful of.
One other thing, a lot of the electronics they sell are not new, but refurbished, so you need to aware of that.
Shipping: Once you are on their mailing list, you will get, maybe once a month either free shipping or $1.00 shipping for your entire order.

I hear ya Ada! I suppose that is how it works out though, some carriers are better than others in some areas. Here, I have no problems with UPS or Fed X, even DHL is great.

I've been a long-time customer, and am very happy with the bargains I've gotten there. I have had some delivery problems because they use FedEx in my area. ( I would love it if they used UPS, because the service is excellent where I live.) But with free or nearly-free shipping, I am not complaining!

you can pay later like a credit card I believe. I don't use it for I have owe enough people!
It is also for qualified buyers with good credit.

Good that they take paypal. But I wonder what is bill me later and how does it work? It has been a long time since I used them and do not recall that option. Is it only for those who have credit cards?
