I just enjoyed the documentary called The US VS John Lennon and am looking to get his music, but which one? I'd love to have Revolution included since it isn't on my Beatles' One album.

As for the OT rating, your guess is as good as mine. I hope you didn't ponder it too long, it was just a mistake. I remember reading the review the first time and thinking how good it was, so I'm guessing I just misclicked. How I misclicked, I don't have a clue. My apologies.

Like you, I share a birthday with that unfortunate event. I've never been a huge Lennon fan, but I still respected the talent he had and what he stood for. It was a tragedy.
Here's to hoping your birthday this year is just as memorable, but in a much happier fashion.

Oh yes...it is so very worthy a purchase. Imagine is always gorgeous so it is the other songs that make the album.

I probably wouldn't have got this, either, since I have all songs in some guise or other. But your beautiful description of "Imagine" and the yen I now have to hear this version of "Working Class Hero" have changed my mind.

Going through one of my many "mental" stages, I became pretty hooked on John Lennon, particularly the "Plastic Ono Band" CD and the song "God". It sounds cliche, but Lennon's voice, like Bono's and very few others, has always signified emotional honesty for me. I should probably just get a hold of this album and stop rambling in other people's comment sections.

You've mentioned it before but I just realized that you share an anniversary with John's death while I share the same birthday as the musical genius. I hadn't heard about this about but I'll check it out. Great review.
