Pros: Cheap! Nice styling. Backlit remote. Wow factor. DVI input.
Cons: Had to power cycle sometimes to make DVI input work. Black display poor.
The Bottom Line: Black reproduction is not great. At times I had to power cycle the set to make certain inputs work again. Great picture for the money!

UPDATE Oct 2nd 2005:
The DVI input has failed completely. Only analog input sources work now. Gateway wants $1000 to come out and fix this. I asked them to send me a part and they "don't know when" they will have any to send me. I am beyond upset. Do yourself a favor and buy an LG or Panasonic plasma and get the extended warranty if you can afford it. Now I'm stuck looking for parts. I don't know if a normal consumer would understand enough to dissassemble and repair this set like I am doing, so my opinion of this product has been greatly reduced.
Pretty decent picture for the money! Makes a great computer monitor. Plenty of inputs. Remote control is backlit and has a good feel. Bought the floor model with many hours on it, still has great picture. Store closing sale made for a nice price on this floor model. Equip your PC or Mac with a wireless keyboard and mouse, this makes a wonderful media center display! Connected to my Radeon 9800 XT the DVI output looks superb. PIP feature is very nice and works like a charm. I did not purchase the speakers for this unit, but they sounded "OK" in the store. The #1 bad thing I have run into: At times the DVI and AV1 inputs have refused to work. Removing the power cable and letting the unit "rest" for a few minutes seems to fix the problem. I have ot do this every 60 days I think. I'm guessing it's a bug in the firmware or the input controller. The plasma screen itself has never failed to power on and display the menus and such. Even if the tuner/computer can't find the DVI input other inputs work fine. Bad thing # 2: The black reproduction is sub par. I turned down the contrast and my DVDs look OK in the darker scenes using composite digital inputs (RGB). Again, the price of the unit explains this black reproduction issue. I am still very pleased with this purchase and would buy this again at this price. Very sleek design and stand add to the appeal. Wall mount kits can be had on Ebay for around $120 as of this posting. If you can pick one of these up for under $2000 I would not pass it up.
