Rubbish (Reply to this comment)

This sounds suspiciously like a load of rubbish to me, just another urban legend. If everyone broke off not one, but two, Champion brand spark plugs (out of four) when replacing their spark plugs, the company would soon go out of business. The fact that you had not one, but two, plugs break suggests to me that the problem lay in your particular application. Maybe you didn't wait until the engine had cooled, but whatever happened, my guess is that the problem lay with your application, not with the plugs.

Spark Plug Choice (Reply to this comment)

Fortunately, consumers have plenty of spark plugs to choose from, whether it be NGK, Bosch, Autolite, or AC Delco. What is the make and model of your car? (or more specifically, the engine?)
