Board Paradise: Great Selection & Free Shipping

I came across BoardParadise.com while searching for a particular type of snowboard boots my husband wanted to get this season. He wanted a new pair of 32 Lashed boots in black which many retailers didn't offer so I decided to do a simple google search and compare prices for a couple different stores. While the prices were within a few dollars of each other everywhere I found them Board Paradise got our business due to their free shipping promotion.
BoardParadise.com is the online version of the Greensboro, North Carolina brick & mortar store Crossroad Sports, Inc. Both entities are sporting goods merchants with a focus on snowboarding gear for men and women including boards, boots, bindings, goggles, clothing, and accessories. They also carry some skateboarding and wakeboarding products as well as sandals, watches, and sunglasses.
Each of these categories is clearly accessible through drop-down menus at the top of each page. The site design is simple, but effective and has a featured product section as well as two extra drop-down menus to browse the products by type or manufacturer. There is no actual search function available but I found the site's menus to be more than adequate to find what I wanted.
Each individual product page offers a photo of the item, the price, and a brief description. Available colors and sizes are offered if applicable. BoardParadise.com does not seem to provide much information on materials and such so you may need to research this elsewhere if you don't already know what you are looking for. This page will also tell you whether the item falls under the store's free shipping promotion, so you can save at least $10 on shipping charges depending on what you buy.
The site's shopping cart system is run entirely through paypal. This means they accept credit cards and paypal transfer for funding sources. You also have the option of calling the company's 800 number and ordering over the phone with a credit card. I love using paypal for online purchases, but for those who don't this could be a consideration not to buy from Board Paradise. All of their orders are shipped UPS ground with the exception of international orders which are sent via US Postal service.
BoardParadise.com did send an order confirmation email (via paypal) as well as a notice when the item shipped with tracking information. My order arrived exactly when it was supposed to and came with all the original manufacturer packaging. It is important to note that Board Paradise only offers an exchange for damaged items or returns. Regardless, shopping online here was completely effortless and I was not concerned at all about doing business with this merchant.
The biggest overall draw to BoardParadise.com for me was the free shipping. Their prices were generally consistent with other online sporting goods merchants, so saving a few extra dollars on shipping is what made us decide to purchase from Board Paradise. The flawless transaction and prompt service is what will make my husband and I purchase from this site again.
