Pros: Overall sound quality, durability, size, battery life, features, quality, price
Cons: hands-free thing is below average, doesn't tell me winning Powerball numbers
The Bottom Line: I highly recommend this phone for it's Mac-ish ease of use and overall quality - far superior to Panasonic or Nokia

I am very pleased with this little silver phone - and especially for the price I paid for one new $10. Nope, there isn't a zero missing - ten bucks.
For a few years I was an AT&T customer until I had a billing dispute and watched my bill increase several HUNDRED dollars a month with fees and charges long after the service was cut off.
I needed a phone (at the time my 'home' phone was a mobile phone) and I decided to check out AT&T's Go Phone service - yes, that's right. AT&T again.
The service is a bit more expensive than a normal plan but it's almost anonymous and I get free nights and weekends - back to the phone review.
This little silver phone fits in my pocket or the small Timbuk2 mobile phone pouch on my Timbuk2 or ManhattanPortage messenger bags (or neatly in my camera bags - I'm a photographer). And of course in my hip pocket.
The sound quality is superior to my home land line as strange as this sounds and the ease of use retrieving the Phone Book and Calendar make it almost silly to reach for the land line. Standing outside in wind has a minor effect on the phone's microphone but that's easily remedied by either turning a bit or placing my other hand infront of my mouth when talking.
As other reviewers have said, it's a little loud sometimes. The ringer can be deafening - I have the volume all the way up and the ring tone set to the Muppets theme (Go Phones came with a zillion free ring tones. I couldn't resist the Muppets...). Luckily I don't get many phone calls. The reception of this little gem fascinates me. It seems to work even when there is no signal.
I use the alarms to wake up in the morning. The phone has a setting where it sounds the wake-up-or-get-fired alarm either Monday through Friday or Monday through Saturday. It also has a once-only alarm and a daily call.
As mentioned before, navigating the controls is astonishingly easy. The screen is very bright and colorful and the menus are laid out in an intuitive manner. There are several options for languages, screen wallpaper (or none at all like me) even light color combinations for the 'service light'.
