I have a friend who's an Avon representative. The problem is, she lives in Pennsylvania. Oh sure, there are ones in the area and whom I know from school. In general, however, I'd rather give my business to Maggie.
This is one of the reasons why the Avon Products Online Store is so great. The representative I chose gets credit for my purchases on the account. By shopping through Ebates as well, I get a 4% rebate as well.
When I first signed up at Avon Products Online Store, I was prompted to create an account. During this process, I was asked for my representative's phone number. Should you have someone that you wish to give credit for any of your online orders, make sure you have it to put in here. You can always change it later on by modifying your profile. I can also sign-up for various newsletters including notification of sales. My 14 year old daughter is just into the makeup and skin-care phase, so getting things for her on sale is a big plus. I love getting the notifications of sales for this reason. If you don't want to get any notices, you can just not check any of the boxes and you won't get them!
This also allows you to sign up for the Avon rewards program called the A-List. As you purchase more, your status moves up from copper (where everyone starts out) up through bronze, silver, gold, and platinum. Each level will give you more opportunities for special sales and savings.
Avon Products Online Store offers the same things for sale in those Avon brochures many of us have seen since we were teenagers ourselves. The search engine works really well and the site is easy to navigate as the products are separated into easy-to-find categories:

• Gifts including gifts for the home, gifts for children, and gifts of beauty

• Jewelry & Accessories

I love Avon Products Online Store. I tend to purchase a lot of skin moisturizers for my dry skin, and with a few clicks I have it from here. I've been very happy in this regard with their Moisture Therapy line of products and I buy them pretty much year-round. Skin-So-Soft products are something I buy in the spring and summer mainly for their insect repelling properties. Just recently, I loaded up with lots of lip balms, hand lotions, and shower gels in pretty containers to put in my two daughters' stockings at Christmas. I'll pick up various other items when there's a good special that I know I can use either for myself or someone else.
Avon Products Online Store has a great selection of gifts. I can purchase beauty products as a combined selection in a basket or bag. There are also some pretty decorative items for the home available, as well as children's toys and accessories. Often when I'm just looking for something small and thoughtful to give someone I can find it here. Sometimes it's a piece of costume jewelry or a pretty Christmas ornament. They are usually inexpensive enough that I can purchase them if I want to have it around "just in case".
As I'm shopping, my shopping cart appears on the left-hand corner of my screen, showing my accumulated total. There's no surprises here when I get to the checkout this way. Avon Products Online Store accepts all major credit cards as payment.
A variety of delivery options are available: standard, 2 day, or next day. I've usually received my order within a week without any problems by standard delivery. Standard shipping is $5.95; 2-day is $15.90 and next-day is $20.90. I can't imagine needing something from Avon Products Online Store so bad I couldn't make do with something from CVS for a few days at those prices for expedited shipping!
I'll continue to use Avon Products Online Store for most of my beauty needs. The main plus for me is that my friend Maggie gets the credit. I am also very happy with the quality of the products they offer. I've also found their prices to be quite reasonable when compared to what's on the shelves in our local drugstore, and the specials can't be beat.
