Nice alternative to Downtown NYC
Written: Dec 17 '04
Pros:Room, tons of space, nice service
Cons:Price, but you get what you pay for.....
The Bottom Line: If you are going to NYC for a weekend, this is a good place to have as a home base to relieve yourself from the mess of downtown
I stayed here during the 2004 NCAA basketball tournament at the Meadowlands, and though the place was absolutely mad, the service was wonderful.
LOCATION - This on in particular has some nice views and is in a great location. Directly across the street is a bus stop that gets you into Manhattan in minutes. There is a full service restaurant downstairs and a quaint little bar with plenty of options. In the 'compound' along Plaza Drive are movie theatres and eating establishments that are great if you have children with you.
STAFF - Friendly and willing to provide any need to guests
CLEANLINESS - very clean, A+
ROOMS - If you have never stayed in an Embassy Suites, they are very nice. All the rooms are very spacious and have TVs and couches to allow guest to relax very easily.
VIEW - Some of the views are very nice from here, but really you need to ask when booking if you hope to see something special or face a certain direction.
PRICE - these rooms aint exactly cheap, but this isn't a Motel 6 either. You'll pay for every little thing if you aren't careful, so you are best to stay away from room service/mini-bar/etc...
PARKING is provided in an enclosed garage and never was a problem even during the busy weekend.
