My family and I have visited the Palm Island Resort on two separate occasions. We love this place - but only for about 3 nights at a time. The children especially like putting our car on the ferry and traveling the short way to the resort. Once at the resort we rent a golf cart and get settled in. We have stayed in the 1,400 square feet two bedroom condo and the 1,100 square feet condo. We like both, though my husband prefers the smaller condo in relation to the beach. He's up at 6:00 every morning with his fishing pole catching snook off the beach.

You save money at this resort by bringing your own food and cooking in the condo or on the gas grills by the pools. There is a restaurant on the island. The meals are good, but not great.

During the day we swim in the Gulf, swim in the pools, drive the golf cart around the island, and just relax! There are TV and telephones in each condo, and each condo is fully furnished, complete with washer & dryer.

We have been in June and in October (we were almost the only ones on the island in October). After 3 nights, the kids are a little bored, so 4 days is a good amount of time for our family.

We will definitely visit this resort again. AAA has the best prices we can find.
