Pros: Great looking game some great points to the thought of the game.
Cons: In the end i just felt as though it could have been better.
The Bottom Line: Great idea, but in the end the control was a bit off. Definate rental, but also well worth the purchase.

| grofit's Full Review: Star Wars: Jedi Starfighter for PlayStation 2 |
This game will be remembered, for one reason. Great title, great story, bahhhhd control! This game has been seen before, just less graphics, only i have seen better controll in a game and the collisions were awfully bad. This could have been a great game if it were not for some errors like these.
Well enough about the bad stuff, how about something good about it! Starfighter is actually a decent shooter and could be the best seen on the PS2 for a few years. The story was actually quite fascinating, more than likely because I am a Jedi nut, the graphic quality is what you expect to see out of a PS2 game, the partical effects are great. The sound reminded me how games are supposed to sound, true to life and so crisp you can hear a distant whisper.
All in all I think more people will like this because it has the Star Wars name on it, than the actual game play. It is a fun game with a few little shortfalls, I do think if you have the chance it is worth the purchase, but do not expect any new game play ideas to come out of this one. This gameplay idea was tried and true with StarFox on the N64 only that game had true control only less flashy. If you like flashy games and great graphics you should go out and take a look at this on. If graphics are not as important as game play I would say stick with Star Fox and save a litle dough.
