Pros: portability, ease-of-use, long-lasting
Cons: ungainly scroll wheel
The Bottom Line: only get this mouse if you want portability but not the hassle of interference, lag, or batteries that comes with wireless mice

| uhhh_i_dunno's Full Review: Kensington PocketMouse Pro (72116) |
i bought this mouse at the same time i bought my laptop in May of 2003 - and it has lasted since. that's over 1 and half years of usage, and it hasn't failed me yet. Apart from scratches and little dings on the surface of the mouse, it still works fine and i use it whenever i take my laptop out of the house. I have dropped it countless times, and the only damage it shows is if you take the two buttons and pull up, the top and bottom parts of the mouse can separate with little effort. this is not a problem for me, however, because I usually push down on the buttons, not pull up.
i was initially hesitant about the durability of the retractable cord, both the retracting mechanism and the thin-ness of the cord itself, but neither has broken for me yet. i have the same gripes as previous reviewers about the scroll wheel, which is hard and tacky and sometimes bumps the page up instead of down if spun too fast. overall, i think this is a good mouse, portable, because of its retracting mechanism, and a good investment for me, as the limitations of my touchpad become apparent in drag-and-drop operations and computer games.
