I can pretty much appreciate your dilemma. Two of my sisters, my step-mom and one of my friends are all highly addicted to this site. If I call any of them while on it, I get a familiar "I'll call you back, I'm on Pogo". I've heard about the infamous 'badges' until I thought I'd go crazy. (Personally, I think they brain-wash you guys, LOL)
I've not got the stick-with-it-ness to join a site such as that so I've turned them down at their offer for guest passes; but it does sound fun for a once in a while type thing.
My question to you: which is more addicting??

I searched through the help pages to find out about Mac, since I have no knowledge of anything technical about computers and could not answer myself. This is what it says...
If you're using the Internet Explorer with Mac OS8 or OS9, you should be able to play Club Pogo games without a problem. If you are using MAC OS X then you will need to use the latest Safari browser, however we do recommend that you have at least 384MB to 512MB.
Unfortunately, we do not officially support Netscape, or Mozilla-based browsers for Mac. If you're using a Mac, you really need to use Internet Explorer with Apple's MRJ to run Pogo games smoothly.

As for your story - it was excellent. I went back and left a comment. After I finished reading yesterday, we had company show up and I had to quickly read the last page. It was really excellent.

Yeah, I was addicted before I joined the Club Pogo. Now there is no words to describe my addiction. I dream of getting badges...lol.

No money :( ... just stupid wallpapers and screensavers - which I now know can cause serious problems on ones computer. Wish I could trade those in for some money.

I have downloaded some wallpapers from them and havent noticed any problems, but a friend thought a wallpaper download cause problems on her computer too. I wont be downloading anymore. Thanks for the warning!

Hey, this sounds cool... I like playing solitare and spider solitare, but unfortunatly my Mac computer doesn't have these games on it, and I can't seem to find anything which I can use for free, or which is compatable for Mac. Would pogo be Mac-compatable??
I noticed you rated my short story... what did you think about it? ;)

My mom actually gets up an hour early just so she cane play on this site and not be disturbed. I love thier games but I choose sleep any day. Especially now with a little one.

and sister-in-law are both addicted to Pogo but a word of warning....
My mother-in-law "won" a wallpaper for winning a game and downloaded it. Attached to that wallpaper download was a ton of spyware and it riddled her computer. My husband had to go over there and clean out her computer in order for it to start working properly again. Just wanted to let you know to use caution should you win any downloads from them!
This didn't stop my mother-in-law from playing but she just doesn't download anything from them anymore.
