mustang4ever's Full Review: 2005 Chrysler Town & Country
As the title states, what did happen to your dad's old Chrysler van. I can remember when the first Chrysler vans were introduced. They had the nice body style that looked elegant. They had the nice, smooth ride that most Chrysler vans have. Then they had the very popular Chrysler hood ornament your dad would brag about to all the neighbors saying his was bigger. Those were the days. But after Chrysler vans were so popular, other manufacturers got less popular. So General Motors, Ford, Toyota, and all vehicle manufacturers set out to produce a minivan for a low price for budgeting families. Soon before 1990, Every auto manufacturer had the minivan made. As soon after that happened, the station wagon fad faded away and soon all families had minivans.
Then we come to our era of technology and computers. As soon as that happened, Chrysler made all of their vehicles computerized. The Town and Country was no exception, and still isn't.
Now I didn't buy a Town and Country, and frankly, I don't plan on buying one in the future. I just happened to rent one from a local Enterprise dealer.
There are some thing I do like about the Town and Country. It does have a touch of class. Most Chrysler cars do. I also like the Chrysler wing on the front. It looks so classy and upper standard.
For the interior of the van, I do like the Stow and Go seating. It's great if you have the entertainment center in the back. Just fold down the seats and you got your personal movie theater! I do also like that the radio tells what song is on what radio station. This is a plus for me, because there is no more waiting to hear the name of a certain song.
There are some things I do not like about the Town and Country. To me it is too computerized. It is sometimes hard to tell what button opens what door.
Also there is limited head room. That is a disadvantage to us tall people.
I had very good driving experience with the town and Country. It handled very smoothly. I could hardly hear any wind noise when I was traveling down the highway at 70mph. It went over bumps in the road quite well, unlike some minivans where it feels like you are driving on the Grand Canyon because it is so bumpy.
All in all, it is a nice vehicle and you should check into it.
