The Bottom Line random thoughts
What follows is some random thoughts on the music of today...if you don't exactly like how I've used this subject, too bad...expect one of these every few months from me *Did anybody else find the fact that Destiny's Child got booed off the stage last night at halftime of the NBA finals very hilarious? *Is it just me, or is anyone else surprised that Staind is the number one album in the country for 3 weeks in a row? When the hell did they become that big, so big as to sell 700,000+ copies in their first week out, more than even TOOL did? *I really wish Jeff Davidson hadn't quit Catch 22...such a good ska band, too bad they can't hang onto a vocalist for more than one album at a time *I think it's sad that all the remixes I've heard of Elevation by U2 blows away the album version. *OK, the Britney/Justin killed in a car wreck rumor was kind of sick, and whoever started it should be put away in a mental house for a while...don't get me wrong, I have no respect for em, but to wish em dead is just f'ed up if you ask me...do they really affect your life THAT much that you wish them DEAD? Sorry, but wishing someone who does nothing more than sing dead is kind of messed up. *Bootleggers suck...period *Attention Radiohead: I realize you don't want to make another record like The Bends (and I do like Kid A and Amnesiac) but please bring your guitars back...wasting Johnny Greenwood should be considered a felony. *the new Blink 182 album is actually halfway decent, and the video is funny as always with them...say what you want but at least they enjoy what they do *memo to U2:PLEASE come back this fall *memo to Pearl Jam:PLEASE tour next summer *memo to Poison:please lower your ticket prices...$35 to see you guys play Talk Dirty To Me is a little much *Jessica Simpson and Mandy Moore are the two most annoying blondes on the planet *MTV is actually showing videos after 4pm again, even if only for an hour...I was shocked *speaking of MTV, the last two nights, they've had this show called "Music in High Places"...they had Collective Soul in Morocco last night, and Alanis Morrisette tonight...the Collective Soul one was great television, and the Alanis one seemed interesting as well...hopefully this sticks around *and lastly, a request to The Aquabats: PLEASE COME BACK TO BOSTON ASAP  |
