Regardless of what inkjet you choose, don't get roped into paying for an OEM cartridge!

Discount Inkjet Cartridges That WORK (Reply to this comment)
by pjdaly45
I just paid a visit to www.wholesaleprintersupply.com looking for cartridges for my printer, an HP Deskjet 932C. What I found was $2.00 off retail on a 'refurbished' cartridge. Not exactly a bargain, I would think. On the other hand they did have what seemed like really good deals on Epson cartridges that looked to average $10.00 off retail. Didn't check to see if they were also 'refurbished' but I would imagine that they are.

I agree with you - the important thing is to do your research. I had heard from many people who had success with these cartridges before I decided to try them. And my printer was out of warranty anyway. I'd sooner go out and buy a new one for $79 than pay to ship it and pay to have it fixed by Epson. They make these printers practically disposable now ;-)

I will certainly be checking this out! You can't tell me, after all, that the $30 ink cartridge is really worth that amount.

Thanks for the information!

Buyer Beware! (Reply to this comment)

Unfortunately there is a big difference between the generic brands and the Epson brand of printer cartridge. Should you need service during your warranty period, Epson WILL NOT honor the warranty in the same manner.

I had an off brand cartridge in my Epson 850 (one recommended by my salesman), when the cartridge took adump and clogged the print heads. If this had been an Epson cartridge, Epson would have simply repaced the printer. Since it was not, they did pay for repairing the printer in the shop......but I had to do alot of talking.

Take care,
Alma
