Hi Lou! Thank you for the idea of using a remote controller for my parent's lamp. What a great idea!
Enjoy your day,

by your review of this lamp. I like floor lamps but and have a halogen model but the light is to cold. Incandescent bulbs are too soft. I feel like Goldilocks here! I think I'll check one of these out.
Most electric supply stores have remote controllers for lamps. They cost about $15 and perhaps a good solution to save your folks from the constant getting up and down to shut their lamp. I use them for Xmas Trees as well.
Happy New Year, and thanks for the really good review & idea.

I keep thinking about these Ott lights as my eyes are getting so computer-tired and reading-tired, and when that happens it makes me physically tired, you know?
I loved this review and devoured every word of it and must say that you shed a lot of light on the subject! Terrific.
Wait till I get one, and I'll tell them that Dawn sent me.
Thanks so much,
Lorace

Hi Helen! She's probably tickled that you thought to get the lamp for her. Once I figured how to boost some height to the light, it worked great for my parents. Soooo ... the next time you visit, are you going to scope out how she placed it?
:)
Enjoy your day,
Dawn

Good to know! (Reply to this comment)

Hi Dawn:
We bought for my husband's sister as a birthday gift. She needed something that could shed some light on a computer and for a reading light. I honestly wasn't aware it was just four feet tall but, she hasn't mentioned it. Whew!
I'm glad to know it's almost everything it's cracked up to be. Thanks!
