This is a great concept with a poor implementation.
The driver is very unreliable in many circumstances, but curiously worked well with me for Omnipage 14. Under
Corel Photopaint 10 or HP's own "HP Director" it frequently stops scanning complaining of a communication error.
Somehow I end up getting it to work after half an hour or more, and then when it's going it seems to behave well.
But who wants to waste the time?
What a pity, because its concept of being able to scan any surface is great (providing that the surface is perfectly flat, otherwise you get banding).
