Pros: Hauls lots of stuff. Seats comfy enough for long rides, spills wipe up easily.
Cons: The tint is too dark, making it hard to back up at night.
The Bottom Line: Get it if you want an undervalued people hauler. Was better equipped and thousands less than similar domestic or imports.

| cchubb's Full Review: 1998 Pontiac Trans Sport |
Been driving our 1998 Pontiac TransSport for about a year now and could not be happier with it. We bought ours with all of the options (leather, traction control, load leveling) and have been very happy with it. It had about 60k miles on it when we bought it but we bought an extended warrantee from a third party vendor (NOT the dealer!) and are now covered until the 107k mile point. So far we have had 1 problem with the van: the load leveling sensor arm broke off and it let the back of the van jack up all the way so it hit the suspension stops. Still very drivable like that and I fixed it at home in the driveway in about 20 minutes.
The leather seats clean up easily (good with a baby and dog) and can collapse, pivot or come out without any fuss. They are comfy enough for a long ride.
Plenty of get up and go, even with a full load of gear and folks. Not a sports car by any means, but feels better in the corners than any other minivan I have driven. The longer wheelbase prob. helps with that as well.
