Here is my experience with Mags on the Net.
On November 1, 2004, I ordered a subscription and my credit card was charged the same day. The publisher received the subscription order from Mags on the Net on November 27. I still haven't received a single issue. According to the publisher my first issue should arrive next month in February. That's about twelve weeks after the order was placed, but for four of those weeks Mags on the Net was sitting on the order.
On December 8, 2004, I ordered a renewal subscription as a Christmas gift for my wife. Again my credit card charged the same day. When I inquired at Mags on the Net I was told the order was sent to the publisher on December 10. In fact, the order was not received by the publisher until January 13, 2005. My wife will miss about a month's worth of this weekly magazine. If the order had been sent to the publisher when Mags on the Net claimed that it was, service would not have been interrupted.
In each case Mags on the Net sat on my order for about one month, although they charged my credit card on the day of the order. The e-mail that they send the same day they receive an order says "your order has now been sent to the publisher."
By contrast I renewed another subscription at a different service. The order was placed on December 18, 2004, and received by the publisher on the 28th. I will not order from Mags on the Net again. If you don't mind waiting three months to receive your first issue, and you don't mind giving them the use of your money for a month, be my guest.
