The Bottom Line Papa Roach is an amazing band, they put on an excellent show!

My ex-boyfriend and I saw Papa Roach live in Salem, Virginia in March of 2001. The show was excellent. Alien Ant Farm and Snapcase. Here's what I thought of the show...

The Opening Acts
Alien Ant Farm
I had heard of this band, I just had not heard any of their music before and I had never seen so much as a picture of them. They played very well, and they worked with the crowd, the singer even came down into the crowd even though they were only one of the opening acts.
Snapcase
I read a review before I went to the concert that said that they were supposedly too good to be opening for Papa Roach, I beg to differ. I thought that the singer did horible, you couldn't understand him, but the band played well. As for working with the crowd, the only sign of that that I saw was when the singer threw AAF's play list out into the crowd and told them to sell it on Ebay.

Set
The stage setup was great, they had huge roaches with angel wings and extraordinary lighting. The music was blasting there were small mosh-pits on the floor.

Show
Wow, this was the best concert I have ever been to! In the very first song Coby Dick, lead singer of Papa Roach, jumped off the stage and into the crowd! They worked with the crowd very well. In one of their last songs after I had given in and moved down to the floor, Coby went up in the stands and was standing in the seat that I had been sitting in! The floor quickly started to get more empty as the crowd shifted up into the stands and I finally pushed my way up close enough to touch him. It was amazing! They played just about all of their songs off of Infest. If I ever get the chance to see them again, I will grab it, they were amazing and I really suggest that you go and see this show!
