Use CVS.com only if you feel like waiting a month!

After I was unable to find the product I was looking for (that I, of course, had already previewed on epinions.com)at a regular store, I chose to order from CVS.com as it was one of the internet stores shown in the "compare prices" section on epinions.com to sell this particular item. I chose CVS.com not because it had the lowest price (it didn't) but because they said they had the item in stock and it was a familiar and "trusted" name that everyone knows.
I ordered my product on 01.04.05 and promptly received email notification that my order was received. I knew it would take apx. 5-10 business for regular ground shipping.
As I anxiously awaited for my order, on the 5th business day, 01.10.05, I was notified that my product was on backorder and wouldn't be available for shipping until after 01.21.05. It would then be another 5-10 business days before I received my order.
I was given the option of waiting the extra time or cancelling my order. I cancelled and received prompt notification from CVS.com of my cancellation.
I feel a little like I've been a victim of "bait & switch" tactics from CVS.com by them saying they have it in stock, but really don't. At least I had the option to cancel.
On a side note, I will be notifying epinions.com that there is a mistake with the information provided under the "compare prices" section in that this store is saying they have items in stock, but really don't. I had previously notified them that some on-line retailers show one price on the "compare prices" section, but when you click onto their sites to order, a different (ie. higher price) is displayed. Once notifying them of this, the true price was corrected and shown the next day. At least they're on the ball!
Overall, my first experience with CVS.com was poor. I have since ordered my product from etronics.com and according to the tracking of my shipment through DHL ground, I should receive my order today (I ordered it on 01.10.05; that's ordered AND received within 5 business days!) I'll epinion etronics.com when I actually get my delivery.
