impossible not to laugh (Reply to this comment)

I agree that singing "America, the devil's playground" is pretty hilarious, but that's part of what I like about the Manics. They manage to be political and poignant but also funny. Well, at least I think it's funny. I just hope they don't take themselves too seriously.

It's not in common use in the US, but there are moments when reviewing UK albums that "bollocks" seems like the ONLY appropriate word.
THanks for the comment.

What a splendid review title! I didn't know "bollocks" was a word in common currency in the US of A, but it certainly should be.
Couldn't agree more about this album. Notice that Miss Europa Disco Dancer is a ( bad ) parody of Stayin' Alive?, right down to the guitar riff? And the poorly thought out title of Dead Martyrs ( Is there another kind? ) And any song with the word "intravenous" in the title is just inviting comparisons with Spinal Tap's Intravenous De Milo. I think it's time they called it a day, frankly.

I find the songs before reading the review and listen to them in the background. Not too bad. Great review!

The general consensus amongst MSP fans is that KYE is the p!ssiest piece of pap they have ever released. (and yeah, absolute bollocks!) And it's true.
So Why So Sad is a fine enough song--by any other band. However by this band it sounds like a parody of The Beach Boys at best and a complete joke at worst
LOL, definitely.
Very nicely ripped to pieces.

I absolutely love... (Reply to this comment)

...the title of this review, to the point to the degree it's hilarious.
I haven't actually heard the album, and it sounds like that isn't necessarily a bad thing, as far as I remember, the only single released from it was 'So Why So Sad', which I thought was pretty abysmal.
Great Review though.
