I realize that this was written a long time ago but I would like to thank you for writing such an extensive explanation of the world of Investment Banks. This was very helpful and has inspired me to work as hard as possible throughout the rest of my college career to try to get a job with one of these top Investment Banks.

Whether you decided to return to Investment Banking or not I am sure that you have been successful with your ventures. Thank you again for taking the time to write such a great explanation.

I've never had any interest in this field, and now I can positively state that I would not last a day! Oh well. Thanks for sharing a part of the unknown world with me! I appreciate it.

thank you very much..

"sensate pen" I like how you put that. I tend to much prefer that style.

These two were a bit dry for my tastes, but given the subject matter, it was tough to liven things up too much.

thanks for your very generous comment.

Just Outstanding (Reply to this comment)

I do software project management for Commodities traders here in Tulsa and I can tell you that this is just outstanding. You have written with a teachers pen, and in the case of investment banking and finance, a sensate pen is usually out of the question. Well done my friend, and I think that you can dispose of the use of wannabe out of your profile...this was really well done.

i'm glad you felt it was "clear and easy to read"

That was my biggest worry, especially as the word count started growing to almost 5000 words for the two.

I was also working hard to pare things down. I guess this is the compilation of lots of discussions I have had to various people curious about the industry.

Thanks very much for the compliment! It is nice to hear someone managed to get through it all.

Comments like this are what I do this for.

You've Outdone Yourself. (Reply to this comment)

What a great review! This one and your Wall Street 101 are a Tour-de-Force of the Investment Banking world. I'm simply amazed at the amount of information you presented - yet you did it in a clear, easy-to-read manner. That's not easy when dealing with a subject that is normally so complex and confusing.

I wish you the best of success at whatever you decide to pursue next. I have confidence you will be successful at it.
