Opinion Summary
The Phantom of the Opera will be there, inside your mind.

Pros: Music and lyrics are fantastic. The Victorian Age rarely looked so good. Freedom of cinema.
Cons: Sometimes clunky and melodramatic.

Never thought of whether lyrics are nutritious or not! Nice job. I look forward to watching it.

Yep, musicals are very hit-or-miss, and I fully understand how some found this one dragging or not that interesting. I think because I participated in so many shows in high school and college, I'm more inured to the admitted strangeness of random breaking out into song, and therefore tend to enjoy musicals more than some. Thanks for the comment.

This one is quite polarizing: you were right in saying it was all about the music. For me, this was painfully long, I didn't get the whole "singing the dialogue as if everyone in the world is listening to me" way of talking. Visually good, yes.
