The Bottom Line You may have better luck with Asus products than we did,
and I consider you lucky if you did.
At first I thought I bought a great motherboard from Asus. It lasted only 11 months despite the 3 year warranty stated. I paid almost a hundred extra bucks for it. It finally quit on me before the year was up. Since then Asus and its reseller, has given us the runaround for 5 months now. Our Asus motherboard has vanished and a much cheaper one installed in its place. We were told that the board was faulty, and was conveniently placed in a situation of the reseller vs Asus dispute. I think for a corporation such as Asus, making the most expensive motherboards out there, not to support its product or warranty is fraudulent, at least in our case. They dont want to talk to you, answer your emails. They place you in a contest of the resellers (vars) vs Asus. And they do this to make it more difficult for you to obtain warranty service that they offer you. We have waited for 5 months now for our motherboard. If you think that is acceptable then Asus is for you. But keep in mind that we havent even gotten it yet. If that is acceptable then Asus is for you. If you want to spend hours on the phone listening to music with no warm body at the other end, then Asus is for you. As for us, we are pursuing a lawsuit against Asus and the Var for failing to provide warranty work and consumer fraud. Dont be duped into believing that the most expensive is always the best, and dont believe that you are paying for promises of a great warranty, only to appear to be broken when time comes for them to act. This is true at least in our case. Im still waiting for Asus to respond to our situation, maybe it will come before the next generation of CPU's and motherboards come out. If Asus reads this opinion, our situation is fully documented. If Asus reads this I hope you remedy the situation ASAP. Maybe then I can write something good about your corporation and its VARS.  |
