Make sure your iPod has a thick skin... by openroad | Jan 22 '05 Pros: Protects again scratches & damage, allows connections for all accessories, well-designed screen protector. Cons: None really, bright colors can be theft-magnets, doesn't help if your iPod is scratched already.

Thanks for the comment Mrsfitts, I suppose I did leave that sentence a little open-ended. I do know friends that have 3 year old iPods still in good condition, so these units can have a long life span. A more likely problem is they will be outdated within a couple years, but I expect most iPods will still operate with no problems.
Again, thanks for the comment,

"It will not only keep your iPod looking good for years to come"
I've been married to a techno-geek for almost a quarter of a century, and in that time, I've learned that the "latest & greatest" technology that he HAS to HAVE doesn't last "years to come". At best, 2 years is what I can hope for.
I liked your review, I just had to laugh when I read longevity and technology in the same sentence. Maybe one day in my lifetime. Technology does last longer now than the obsolescence of technology every month in the 80s!
