Noise when zooming the 80-400 (Reply to this comment)

I've read a number of comments about Sigma QC problems. But in this case, I would give them some slack, given that the zoom was designed for twisting and was being forced to operate as a push-pull. I would not be at all surprised if the 80-400 paperwork or the Sigma support people would advise against that. Of course a support guy is not around when we contemplate doing these things.
